At Fairwinds, we’re all about cannabis science and improving our industry though scientific advances. We’ve created a new Exploration Series to experiment with different cannabinoid blends, strains, and ratios – and we want you on our research & development team.

A classic cultivar with a storied past that causes conversation to this day (are you team Original Kush or Ocean Grown Kush?), OG Kush is known for its powerful relaxing effects. We’ve paired it with Cannabinol (CBN), a lesser-known minor cannabinoid, to see how it may be able to help with relaxation, sleep, and stress relief.

CBN is most commonly found in aged cannabis, as it’s a compound that develops as THC degrades chemically over time. While CBN on its own does not cause sedation as much as originally thought and more research is needed, anecdotal and clinical evidence alike indicate that THC and CBN together can cause drowsiness.

Our hypothesis is that the blend of the THC-rich OG Kush cultivar alongside CBN will lend relaxation and sleep support. We can’t wait to hear what you think!
